A small group of seven, and there's nothing mysterious going on, I promise. These are duplicate and promotional listings of works that already appear elsewhere on the site, kept together so that offers and one-off pricing don't clutter up the main collections.
I'd rather be upfront about what this page is than have you wondering why a photograph has turned up twice, with two different prices next to it. There's no trick in it, and nothing here is being quietly discontinued. Same files, same paper, same hands doing the work.
So if something catches your eye, and you'd rather buy it from its proper home, it's sitting in the main collection under the same title, and it's worth a look across before committing. And if you're after something specific and can't find it anywhere, just email me and ask. Most of what I've shot has never made it onto the website at all (years of it), which is either charming or bad admin.
The photographer
I am Richard Hirst. I have photographed Sydney's harbour, the eastern beaches, the northern beaches and the ocean pools along that coast for more than thirty five years. I shoot at first light and in the weather most people stay inside for. Every photograph on this site is my own.

Every photograph is printed on ILFORD GALERIE Smooth Pearl 310gsm. Wilhelm Imaging Research rate that paper and ink pairing at more than two hundred years behind glazing. Framed pieces are assembled by hand in Australia and signed by hand on the mattboard.
