Every one of these is a real place on the New South Wales coast, taken on a particular morning. Not a rendering of a wave. Not a colour palette that happens to be blue. If you have swum at any of them you will know which one it is before you read the title.
That is what changes when the photograph goes on a wall. It stops being decoration and starts being somewhere you have actually stood.
How they are made
ILFORD GALERIE Smooth Pearl 310gsm, rated by Wilhelm Imaging Research at more than two hundred years behind glazing. Framed pieces are hand assembled in Australia under UV-resistant Shinkolite on acid-free backing, and hand signed on the mattboard.
Picking a size
Measure the wall, then take the bigger of the two you are deciding between. Prints always look smaller up there than they do on screen.
